Grim Grinning Ghosts come out to socialize

I'm just sitting here with Mitchel. The trick or treaters are done and we're watching "Hocus Pocus" Scott just left to pop in at his friend Steve's house who's having a party. And I'm waiting for Emily's party to finish so that we can go out.

Here's our costumes for tonight:

Our friend Frank stopped by earlier to pick up some accessories for his "Elwood" costume:

So tell me why, haven't I, heard from you?

October is birthday month in the Wallace family - Mitchel was born on the 10th, mine was on the 15th, and Scott just had his on the 27th.

And yes, I am 12 days older than Scott, which he generally likes to mention (thanks Amber!)

The picture below was on my birthday- we went to Shogun a local Japanese restaurant we'd never been to before. It was fun and the food was great.

Yesterday was Scott's birthday and being Monday made it difficult to do something too fun. But we managed.

I did buy him a Disco ball... why? because isn't that what every man wants on his birthday? I figured it would go well in the garage with all his karaoke cra.. stuff.

And I may have broken my toe. I'm hoping it's just really sore, but it's a bit black and blue, and now it started to swell this afternoon. I dropped a ceramic soap dispenser on it this morning. Hurt like hell... but then was fine in the AM at work, but this afternoon around 2 pm it started to throb, and now I can't walk too well. You know this is just what I needed.
And my Halloween costume has 4 1/2" healed boots... which may not work well. Which sucks, cause I have a cute outfit, and I had to go to several stores to find those damned boots.

The song... Reba McIntyre "Why Haven't I heard From You"

You Try To Scream, But Terror Takes The Sound Before You Make It.

Last night our friends Kim and Mike (or as we call him, PV) had a halloween party.

Most of us dressed up, had some fun at their house and then moved on to karaoke later in the evening.

Here's Scott and I: he told me he wasn't going to dress up, because he's dressing up next friday, but he had dropped me off first then took Emily to her friends house - he'd put on his Dr outfit.... it as a little 'out of the ordinary' to say the least. I wore the witch costume Emily had picked out for me. My hat didn't stay on well so I usually didn't wear it.

our friend Jess only needed to use the long part of her wig to weave in with her real hair... so Scott stole the wig part... he looks like his brother David with a bad hair cut. For some reason I just looked at him and started calling him Zippy...

Jessica, Princess Leia - She made her own costume.

Andrew was a Jedi Knight, and he has the coolest Light Sabre.Kim and PV.... Geisha and, what do you call it, Geisha's Guy?

And the song, of course is Thriller

Would You Be My Neighbor?

For some reason I felt compelled to also buy Mitchel a Rogers jersey when I bought his Urlacher Jersey (and for the record, when he dresses himself, he chooses Urlacher!)

But here they are on Game Day last Sunday:

The song: Mr Rogers Neighborhood - duh ;)

Oh Do You See What I See?

I had tons of Disneypoints saved up on our last trip to Florida, and all Scott could think of that he wanted was a new hat.... here's a picture of the old one and the new one. For some reason, he keeps wearing the old one, instead of the new one. A wee bit faded I think. I guess it's just now broken in?

Why don't you tell your dreams to me Fantasy will set you free

And now he is 13 - AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

He wanted a chocolate fudge cake (oh man... it's sooo good)

Since it was his cake, he got to lick all the bowls and utensils... he loved this part.

This is his 'why so serious' joker moment...

Takanuva - the bionicle I was assigned to buy him - and it had so many less parts than the other one! He put it together himself - rather quickly.

He also got a couple video games - here he is playing Xbox... I guess it's easier when you have a harmonica in your mouth the entire time.
...and Emily turns 16 in January - stay tuned (AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA)

They Say It's Your Birthday....

Today is the last day that Mitchel will ever be 12! He's excited about his birthday - yet last night he was really anxious, you could see it on his face. He's very nervous about being a teenager. It's kind of odd what makes him nervous.

Here's a few pictures of our Mitchel -

This one was on Sunday we had a meeting for all the homeschooling CCD kids, we were early, and I was taking silly pictures of Mitchel to keep him occupied. He does the strangest thing with his tongue - now everyone try this at home and see if you can do it... You can't can you???

Bored....

Homecoming 2008:
Hononegah's Homecoming was this last weekend, a group of Emily's friends all went together, some had dates, some didn't but they went to dinner then to the school for the dance. Here's some pictures of some of their group. Emily is 2nd from the right if you can't find her:
