I'd heard this was one of the best ones to go to. The track is only a 1/2 mile and so that means the leaders are not out all alone, but lapping people throughout the race, which makes for a lot of crashes, which is what we're all looking for.
We scouted out the place friday night when we got there, it was a site to see. Where ever you could fit a camper, there was one, vendors, car parking, all shoved in every parking lot, front yard, church.
Scott bought me a jacket with Patron on it. (all the stuff has the sponsors on it)
And he was determined to get me something with AFLAC (it's a long story with my hand and Mitchel saying the splint looked like a duck)
We found some karaoke on Friday, that was a fun place, but 1/2 the fun of karaoke is having people there your know, so that was missing. But when Scott sang it was cool when people would sing along.

I've been to 2 in Atlanta, with my Dad, but it's been awhile. I liked going in person, can't take watching it on TV though. There was a wedding on the track before the race once & a "new" artist played once who we'd never heard of, Shania Twain way back when. Funny.
Andy got shirts just last week from the Nat Guard car (recruiters always give him stuff) and I was laughing at him wearing it one afternoon this week. Every time I looked at him it made me laugh b/c he is SO NOT a race shirt kinda guy. Looks like a fun weekend. I hear it's pretty around the area up there anyway!!
